Comic Book Character Lettering
Custom digital hand lettering for a comic book title, and for the character names to go along with each character design.
I was commissioned by Grim Tailor to design character names for multiple characters for a comic book he was publishing. He wanted each name to reflect the personality and tone of the corresponding character, so that they could be used together to introduce each character on Instagram and in other marketing materials.
The Comic Title
The series name is an expression in Manx Gaelic — and its translation into English.
The client wanted the english version to be the most prominent, with the translation written below. I used traditional Gaelic type as an inspiration to come up with the title lettering.
